Testimonial:
The Belkin TuneTalk Stereo is a very useful recording device which plugs directly in to the bottom of an iPod (30 or 60 GB iPod video device). It has a manual autogain feature, as well as indicator lights to let you know when you're recording. The first and most surprising feature of this device is that, when you plug it in, the interface on your iPod immediately changes to display recording controls--no software installation necessary. You can literally pull it out of the package, plug it into your iPod, and begin audio recording. The iPod will save recordings as dated voice memos, and these files can be pulled off of the iPod through iTunes. I have had great success using this device to record meetings and conversations, but have had no opportunity (or need) to use the microphone line-in feature. In general, the built-in microphone is very good. If I lost or broke my Belkin TuneTalk today, I would most certainly replace it. - Alex
