How to choose
and use these files
- Select video presentations if you have a broadband
connection.
- Select audio presentations if you use a dial-up or modem connection.
- Select the podcast presentation if you have a broadband
connection and want to download the the meeting audio after the event has occurred.
Audio and Video — The audio and video
presentations will run automatically using QuickTime or Real media. As a general rule, Macintosh users may want to use the Quicktime player; Windows PC users may want to use Real Player (although either file type will work on both Macs and PC's if installed). If you experience any
difficulties, be sure you have the most current version of QuickTime, a free software program available through Apple, or, the most current version of Real Player, a free software program available through Real Networks, installed on your computer.

Podcast — A podcast downloads audio recordings to your computer.
These recordings can be played on your computer using any podcast software,
or placed on your iPod or other portable music player to listen to anytime.
To listen to the Regents meeting podcast, you'll need podcast software. The
instructions below
give details for copying the link you'll need to download the podcast
to your podcast software. If you don't have podcast software, you
can download a free copy of iTunes, available for PC
or Mac, from www.itunes.com.
Follow these instructions carefully to copy and paste the podcast link into
your podcast software. For additional workshop reference materials, see the
links to the PDFs in the audio and video section below.
NOTE: the podcast audio will be available within 24 hours of the meeting.
Podcast instructions — how
to copy the link to the podcast
- Right-click on the podcast icon (Mac users: click and hold the mouse button).
- Choose "Copy Shortcut", "Copy Link", "Copy Link to Clipboard,"
or "Copy
Link Location."
- Paste the link into the subscription field of your podcasting software. This
process may vary depending on your software. For iTunes, go to "Advanced" in
the menu and choose "Subscribe to Podcast."
